End of week !!

 

• What did I enjoy this week? I really enjoyed being taught by our new teacher miss lawless I love it when she reads to us . Because it is really fun to learn new words and how to pronounce different words. It was really cool to learn more story's about our culture. and to see what he feels being the last Maori warrior and what he had to go through to survive.

• What was one success I have had and why? I think I succeeded in my punctuation with the great help of our cool teacher Miss lawless. she helped me by sitting me down somewhere quit and she read it out loud and I then realised that there were a lot of mistakes. but she then showed me what goes where. she really was a big help and I really appreciate it.

• What is something that I found challenging and why? I found it challenging to do writing because so may ideas pop up in my head and I just write it all down. And when I read it I read it in my head and I don't feel the need to fix anything because it sounds fine. But when it gets read out loud I then see where the mistakes are.

• What is one thing I have learned? I learned that my left leg is stronger then my right. In high jump because when we had a guest come in and taught us how to get better at things. I didn't really feel the need to practise on my left and thought it was pretty stupid at first. But when I finally did it I could felt more stronger on it.

• What is something I am looking forward to next week I am looking forward for it to get closer to the year 8 ball. and camp and I can't wait because it is going to be so much fun. and I can not wait to get fun memories from these activities with my class.

• I showed aroha in my song that was about my siblings i how much they annoy me but that I will always love them even when they make me really angry.

Weekly reflection

 I really enjoyed doing athletics with my class and trying my hardest at improving my last score. I love to watch how the rest of the class improves at different thing and watch them become better at the activity they find the hardest. 

I had succeeded in my writing skills with my describing words and making a power paragraphs.  which makes it interesting to read and it might make the reader want to read more about it. But if it doesn't describe it wont be able to paint a pitcher in the audiences  head. Which will make it boring because they should be able to use there imagination.

I found it challenging at high jump because I  was not getting the skills that I needed to be able to be confident with jumping at amazing height.   But that then leaded me to make myself a goal that by some point I will be able to jump higher then 1.5 metres. And I can not wait to improve. 

I have learned about the virgin Mary with who she is what role she had in our life's or what impact she had on others life. She was the mother of Jesus she was kind loving and caring she was a  mother not just to Jesus but to those who needed it.

I am really looking forward to our new teacher Miss Lawless teaching us and to carry on with her amazing story. She read me some of it and it was really interesting and I can not wait to read the rest.  And this story is about the history of the two culture last Maori warrior I learned a lot from the begging of that story things that I had never heard from.

I have been showing Pono because I own up to things if I had done it. also being truthful to myself with if I am doing the right thing or if I am making the right choice. 

weekly reflection

I really enjoyed learning a lot of the Maori  language and it was really fun to accomplish all the fantastic Maori task.

I succeeded in learning new Maori words that i can show my whanau and try and teach them how to pronounce them 

I found it challenging to try and make a good piktel art because i didn't feel familiar with the tools we use 

Well I have learned a lot of things  about the Maori culture because it was Maori week and thanks to my teacher it  was really fun

I am looking forward to it almost being the school holidays and i cant wait to sleep in and see some other family members 

I was always being truthful to myself and god and I am very proud of that

these are really fun to make and i cant wait to use this more often and to be able to share how fun these are with family and friends and a big thanks to farther Larry for inviting us to watch the new release of Mulan me and the girls covered all our windows so it was nice and dark all the girl hogged all the pillows and made a giant bed to ly on i really loved the story of mulan.

I think for myself that I have succeeded in maths for statics and I love being able to learn how to make graphs although I do struggle a bit but luckily I have lovely teachers to help me with what I am stuck on.

I found it challenging to do the graph online because I wasn't very familiar with some stuff on the Chromebooks but some of my kind classmates lead me on the right path.

opportunity and privileges stands for social justice i learned more about that other country do not accept there people differences where i breath fresh air and run and go wherever i want in my country and get treated the same others get hated on and get there privileges to live a normal life taken away from them and it is very sad  

I am looking ford ward to doing more poetry using the acrostic type of poetry and being able to share the new poetry types i used on my blog so i cant wait to see what happens.

i have told the truth to god to myself and my family no matter the consequence because telling the truth depends on what the consequence wont be as bad as what it would be telling a lie 

Weekly reflection

 I really enjoyed playing all of the fun sports in lunchtime and morning time with my friends and laughing about how funny we are.

I succeed in independent learning because i stayed on task and did my work in my own words without away saying ''what does this mean''

I found it challenging to do my work because we had no one to explain this properly because our teacher was sick

I learned that Priest Deacons and Bishops are apart of the holy order and that they have a special way of wearing there clothes.

I am looking forward for having our teacher for the whole week again without her getting sick

I was being honest to the relievers about how we work and the things we had to get done.

 I have enjoyed doing the daffodil art because I learnt more about blending with pastels and stuff but and I love how it turns out.

I have succeed more in learning about all the sacraments and the meaning of each of them it was really fun to make art pieces about it to.

I found it challenge for some of algebra but then my teacher explained more and more about.

I have learned more about how to do prayers in the morning and how to say some prayers and to read the bible.

I am looking forward to learning more songs in Maori and how to start it and I can not wait to learn how to start a conversation in Te reo.

I always speak the truth so my consequence is not as bad as telling g a lie  and getting a worse consequence.

Weekly reflection

I enjoyed learning about the brain and the different parts of it in steam and that every part has a purpose in the human body and big jobs they do to make the human body functional.

I succeeded in doing the prayer for my class and the school, being able to have the courage to get up in front of people and say the bible and prayer although I get nervous about if im loud or clear i do not know till I try.

I found it challenging sometimes on focusing on the last bits to finish my times table I try my hardest to finish it and try to beat my score in time and number and I know some day I can succeed.

I have learned about how to times 2 digit number by the way you order it and having to now my groups for ones tenths and there on.

I am looking forward to more different learning and different strategy for my work and I cant wait to learn more for everything. 

I dont really know if I showed Pono because i have been to busy on work but I hope I did show this value because its really high value.

 

week 3 reflection

I enjoyed doing cross country with my friends because it was funny as we ran in our be feet i loved seeing the other kids participating with this and watching everyone enjoying it.

 I had succeeded in my times tables i got higher scores and started to get more familiar with some of the times tables and i tried my best with it.

I have learned even more about number sequences and rules that you need to include to get the answers and to figure out the pattern in the numbers.

I am looking forward to  learning how to sketch in  tech class with miss green and using the lazar to make design on a box that we have to create.

I was being truthful to myself in the x country run and said to myself that i was going to finish this race and i pushed myself.                                                                                   

week 2 reflection

i enjoyed learning how to play Rip pa Rugby  and being able to use team work and communicate with each other through out passing the ball.

i had succeed in  my creative writing with how descriptive the words were and creating the title page with big bold words.

i found behaving challenging because i don't think before doing something stupid or dumb  and staying positive.

i have learned about the different bones in human body did you know compared to a  human brain we have four sections in our brain and a dog has 3 sections.

i am looking forward to finishing my illustrated book  it called the discovered noise were there is a little girl who goes into the dark forest and...

i have showed Pono by  speaking the truth to my friends and family.

term 3 reflection

I enjoyed writing about my holidays in descriptive words and doing our punctuation.

I succeed in imaginative prayer with learning about god and different ways to pray with god and yourself.

I found it challenging to understand number sequence but then my teacher explained more and then i enjoyed it witch made it fun to do.

I have learned about pattern number sequence and rule in maths i really enjoyed understanding more about it and i am very proud of what i did 

i am looking forward to more x country training pushing myself to my limit and challenging my mind.

Telling my friends the truth all the time witch grows our trust in each other and being honest to ourselves to.

term reflection

The biggest challenge for me was having to get along with people that annoyed me on the first term and half of the second term. And I also found it hard to concentrate sometimes because I would have been distracted with talking to people or yelling in class. and acting silly with my friends in front of everyone which made me a distraction to everyone.

Something I have improved on is settling well into a catholic school even when i'm not catholic. And from coming from a very UN calmed school and having to snap out of my habits. From my old school and being able to have the opportunity to become a role model in this school.

the highlight of this term is becoming a better house deputy in school and being able to set up games. And seeing everyone enjoying the game we set up and reffed, I had a lot of fun running the games. Each house group got to chose what game they wanted to run for the juniors and seniors.

something I have learned this term is how to do angles, for me before we learned about angles I thought it was going to be very hard so I wasn't going to try. But when our teacher explained it and showed us how to work out the answers. I became more interested in the learning and if we still didn't understand we could
go into a group and she would explain it more.

I am looking forward to the holidays because i get to spend more time with my family and I will be able to help them out more. And having to have a big clean up day also cant wait to see my grandma. In Hamilton and my older sister who live down in Hamilton my favourite part of the holidays is sleep ins and Netflix. 

Weekly Reflection

a highlight of mine this week is was when i tried to smash out most of my work this week .

my success for this week is that we were not  arguing or bickering as much as usual with each other.

my challenge for me this week is algebra worksheet it was hard to get my head around but i still gave it a try.

something i can work on next week is communicating with others better.
