My favourite item is probably scrunchies because scrunchies help contain your hair and make it look nice at the same time. Rommy Revson is the one who invented scrunchies. They have been around since 1960s to still being a thing now.

Week 4!!

 I really enjoyed doing my fashion collage because I really love styles and my styles mixed. It was cool to see my classmates styles they are into. I mostly enjoyed putting it together it made me so excited I wanted to print it off and put on my wall.

I loved that I succeeded in completing my hand for our class quilt. I can not wait to see the finished project . I liked seeing what my classmates finished project looked liked. 

I  found it challenging to cooperate with doing the cyber smart project because I didn't really understand what we had to do the newspaper. 

I learned a lot more about punctuation I was really proud of myself because I only got five wrong. In having to punctuate a piece of the story that had everything taken out. we used full stops,exclamation marks,brackets,ellipsis,capital,coma,question marks and all the rest . 

I am looking forward to rip pa rugby because most of our class is doing it and its a fun way to spend time with our friends and our teacher, I am also looking forward to pizza.

I helped a little boy who had gotten a bee sting in the sand pit. I took him to the sick bay and put some cream on his foot. and got him  an ice pack so that how I showed Aroha this week.

• What did I enjoy this week? I really enjoyed being taught by our new teacher miss lawless I love it when she reads to us . Because it is really fun to learn new words and how to pronounce different words. It was really cool to learn more story's about our culture. and to see what he feels being the last Maori warrior and what he had to go through to survive.

• What was one success I have had and why? I think I succeeded in my punctuation with the great help of our cool teacher Miss lawless. she helped me by sitting me down somewhere quit and she read it out loud and I then realised that there were a lot of mistakes. but she then showed me what goes where. she really was a big help and I really appreciate it.

• What is something that I found challenging and why? I found it challenging to do writing because so may ideas pop up in my head and I just write it all down. And when I read it I read it in my head and I don't feel the need to fix anything because it sounds fine. But when it gets read out loud I then see where the mistakes are.

• What is one thing I have learned? I learned that my left leg is stronger then my right. In high jump because when we had a guest come in and taught us how to get better at things. I didn't really feel the need to practise on my left and thought it was pretty stupid at first. But when I finally did it I could felt more stronger on it.

• What is something I am looking forward to next week I am looking forward for it to get closer to the year 8 ball. and camp and I can't wait because it is going to be so much fun. and I can not wait to get fun memories from these activities with my class.

• I showed aroha in my song that was about my siblings i how much they annoy me but that I will always love them even when they make me really angry.

The Arts

 For a lesson we have been given a task were we have to watch all the videos and then write what it means to you. I for one found it really fun because they all were fun activity/hobbies to do. And how they have a big impact on our lives. The thing they all had in common is that they all tell a specific story that they want you to know.  or feel  well presenting it. her is my completed task.

Weekly reflection

 I really enjoyed doing athletics with my class and trying my hardest at improving my last score. I love to watch how the rest of the class improves at different thing and watch them become better at the activity they find the hardest. 

I had succeeded in my writing skills with my describing words and making a power paragraphs.  which makes it interesting to read and it might make the reader want to read more about it. But if it doesn't describe it wont be able to paint a pitcher in the audiences  head. Which will make it boring because they should be able to use there imagination.

I found it challenging at high jump because I  was not getting the skills that I needed to be able to be confident with jumping at amazing height.   But that then leaded me to make myself a goal that by some point I will be able to jump higher then 1.5 metres. And I can not wait to improve. 

I have learned about the virgin Mary with who she is what role she had in our life's or what impact she had on others life. She was the mother of Jesus she was kind loving and caring she was a  mother not just to Jesus but to those who needed it.

I am really looking forward to our new teacher Miss Lawless teaching us and to carry on with her amazing story. She read me some of it and it was really interesting and I can not wait to read the rest.  And this story is about the history of the two culture last Maori warrior I learned a lot from the begging of that story things that I had never heard from.

I have been showing Pono because I own up to things if I had done it. also being truthful to myself with if I am doing the right thing or if I am making the right choice. 

Big Sisters Are The Best!!

It was a beautiful warm night. The moon was glistening bright in the dark blue sky. I remember standing on the balcony and watching the little white glimmering trails of stars  stuck upon the navy blue blanket. The stars looked like little fireflies. I heard the rustling of the trees as the wind blew in there direction. Then I saw flickering from the long streetlights.  I leaned on the bars and took a deep breath letting go of all the stress piled in my thoughts clearing my mind from the things that bothered me. I then started thinking about what to do. I  opened  the ranch-slider and stumbled into my room.

I flopped myself onto my bed and let out a sigh. My sisters eyes were locked onto their phone when I heard one of them screech out, ''IT'S YELLOW!'' I suddenly bursted out from laughter when I saw how much  determination and frustration expressed on her face. My other sister then bursted with laughter well I grabbed  out my phone and started videoing, keeping it for the funny memories. She then turned to look at me and smiled through embarrassment. She then let out a small giggle. I then turned on the black screen TV and switched it onto Netflix.  I was scrolling through TV shows and movies when I saw something eye catching. I put it on and started to watch it. It was a bit boring at first but then it started to get interesting which hooked me in. My eyes were latched onto the TV when I heard shouting coming from the kitchen, ''DINNER TIME!'' My Nan shrieked I then open the door and rushed to the kitchen.

I could smell the delicious food coming from the plate. That was in front on me it was homemade burgers. I then picked up the burger a took a giant bite it was amazing. I started munching it back. Then went into my room and started watching the TV show. When I saw my sister bust my door and jump on the bed, I glared at her when she started to make eye contact. Then we just started laughing out loud almost crying with joy.  We then stopped when my other sister came in trying to not laugh.  She then slowly laid  down still playing among us. She was so hilarious to watch when she played that game. I then pressed play on my TV show. It was really awesome story. My other sister then quietly  said, ''what are you watching?". I turned to look and told her, "something" which made her get annoyed. But then when I was at a boring part I skipped when suddenly she  shrieked,'' DON'T SKIP IT!''. I watched her in confusion. While she was on her phone I then kept skipping just to annoy her. When she pounced at me and ripped the remote out of my hand. I quickly snatched the remote back and that's when she told me to stop skipping. I glanced at her and just said," fine whatever ". I switched the TV back on and started watching  (2 hours passed).

I switched off the TV and snuggled into my bed. My two sisters were still watching their phone. I  closed my eyes it was pitch black  I started to slowly drift into a deep sleep(3 hours passed). I opened my eyes and got up to get a drink of water. I tried to open the door quietly it loudly creaked. Luckily I didn't wake anyone up. I tiptoed to the kitchen, opened the ca board and grabbed a glass cup. And walked over to the tap and turned it on. the water dropped into my cup. I turned it off  and  then started to take small sips of nice cold water.  I went to pour the rest out . I went back to my room hopped into bed and listen to the calm night. I could hear birds squawking .  I then just stared at my roof till I could fall asleep again. Minutes went pass when my black cat leaped onto my bed.   I saw her bright green eyes looking straight at me. She started to creep closer and closer she was then on my stomach. And got comfortable and then closed her eyes and went for a nap. I then started patting her soft head and moved my hands down trying to calm her. And went back to sleep...

Blog post analysis

 for this task we did maths a bit of literacy and a bit of steam so it was really good and fun to do I found it a bit hard when it came to doing the graph but I had my awesome teacher to put me in the right path and showed me how to do everything I also had classmates to show me I can not wait to do some more blogging next term.

Venerable

 for RE we had do do a bit of research about what venerable means and had to find a definition and a example, image and a non example it took a while to try and find an image but I manage myself and ended up finding a decent image her is my completed google drawings.

Suzanne Aubert

This morning we have had a lesson for Religious Ed, we have been learning about Suzanne Aubert. We watched a film that had a lot of facts about her and what and why she did things to help family's in New Zealand. and she sounded like a awesome person and I would have loved to meet her in person she was kind and caring to those around her. I learned that helping the poor is not just about money or clothes it could be that you give them faith to keep going or a family or someone that believes in them and now I know what it means to help the poor.

I really enjoyed learning a lot of the Maori  language and it was really fun to accomplish all the fantastic Maori task.

I succeeded in learning new Maori words that i can show my whanau and try and teach them how to pronounce them 

I found it challenging to try and make a good piktel art because i didn't feel familiar with the tools we use 

Well I have learned a lot of things  about the Maori culture because it was Maori week and thanks to my teacher it  was really fun

I am looking forward to it almost being the school holidays and i cant wait to sleep in and see some other family members

these are really fun to make and i cant wait to use this more often and to be able to share how fun these are with family and friends and a big thanks to farther Larry for inviting us to watch the new release of Mulan me and the girls covered all our windows so it was nice and dark all the girl hogged all the pillows and made a giant bed to ly on i really loved the story of mulan.

I think for myself that I have succeeded in maths for statics and I love being able to learn how to make graphs although I do struggle a bit but luckily I have lovely teachers to help me with what I am stuck on.

I found it challenging to do the graph online because I wasn't very familiar with some stuff on the Chromebooks but some of my kind classmates lead me on the right path.

opportunity and privileges stands for social justice i learned more about that other country do not accept there people differences where i breath fresh air and run and go wherever i want in my country and get treated the same others get hated on and get there privileges to live a normal life taken away from them and it is very sad  

I am looking ford ward to doing more poetry using the acrostic type of poetry and being able to share the new poetry types i used on my blog so i cant wait to see what happens.

i have told the truth to god to myself and my family no matter the consequence because telling the truth depends on what the consequence wont be as bad as what it would be telling a lie

 for literacy we have been showed different things to do in poetry for this task there was a DLO  with lots of different poem types to use i chose acrostic and i really like this because its simple but really interesting  and fun to do 

Social Justice

For this week for literacy we have been learning about social justice and had to complete a slide with questions on it I enjoyed researching  things some of these things impacted on my life because in other country those who are different are no free from judgement and abuse but her we are free to be whoever we want whenever we want we breath the thin fresh air well others breath in smoke and hatred I am really sad that people have to go through this but know that I support you no matter who you are .

We go given four videos to watch about whats going around in our world they were all amazing but there was one that really caught my attention and that was the group of girls who spoke about the Maori culture within them It really impacted on my life because I am always aloud to speak Maori and knowing that people get that opportunity taken away is heart breaking but enough talk about that  we have got given a task about what we had seen in the video and had to complete the task on the slide.  

Weekly reflection

 I really enjoyed playing all of the fun sports in lunchtime and morning time with my friends and laughing about how funny we are.

I succeed in independent learning because i stayed on task and did my work in my own words without away saying ''what does this mean''

I found it challenging to do my work because we had no one to explain this properly because our teacher was sick

I learned that Priest Deacons and Bishops are apart of the holy order and that they have a special way of wearing there clothes.

I am looking forward for having our teacher for the whole week again without her getting sick

I was being honest to the relievers about how we work and the things we had to get done.

 I have enjoyed doing the daffodil art because I learnt more about blending with pastels and stuff but and I love how it turns out.

I have succeed more in learning about all the sacraments and the meaning of each of them it was really fun to make art pieces about it to.

I found it challenge for some of algebra but then my teacher explained more and more about.

I have learned more about how to do prayers in the morning and how to say some prayers and to read the bible.

I am looking forward to learning more songs in Maori and how to start it and I can not wait to learn how to start a conversation in Te reo.

I always speak the truth so my consequence is not as bad as telling g a lie  and getting a worse consequence.

 for the past few weeks we have been learning a lot about the sacraments and how they work    and the meanings of each one i really enjoy doing art for this topic because they always turn out great but this time we have made a piktochart and i have successfully accomplished it here it is .

Literacy poem

 I see blackness slowly covering my room as slowly close my curtains and turn on the black screen TV lifting the blankets and hoping in as the warmth fur fulls me,  I start watching an episode getting hooked in and start to get comfortable.

I smell peppermint sent fulfilling the air .

 For cyber smart we have been put into pairs and  had to make clear instructions to our partner about what and where to put the shapes me and my partner have finished it. Here is our finished project. 

Weekly reflection

I enjoyed learning about the brain and the different parts of it in steam and that every part has a purpose in the human body and big jobs they do to make the human body functional.

I succeeded in doing the prayer for my class and the school, being able to have the courage to get up in front of people and say the bible and prayer although I get nervous about if im loud or clear i do not know till I try.

I found it challenging sometimes on focusing on the last bits to finish my times table I try my hardest to finish it and try to beat my score in time and number and I know some day I can succeed.

I have learned about how to times 2 digit number by the way you order it and having to now my groups for ones tenths and there on.

I am looking forward to more different learning and different strategy for my work and I cant wait to learn more for everything. 

I dont really know if I showed Pono because i have been to busy on work but I hope I did show this value because its really high value.

 

Present tense of the war

 I gaze into the black sky, it looks like fire fly's sleeping in the pitch black blanket. As the bright moon stares right at me.Its reflection glistens into the sparkling warm water. I listen to the calm water slowly washing up into the sand. I start watching the crabs walking across the little pebbles wondering where to hide I hear whistling coming from the wind all over the place. I slowly fall into a deep sleep for the night. 

The sun finally awakes, swoosh I quickly wake up and hear the water crashing into the the sand uncontrollably I feel the breeze across. be the water starts saying ''something big is coming''. I look out far and see a giant black shadow with dark grey smoke coming from the top of it, polluting the air the wind danced unstoppable in fear. orders being shrieked out to people. As black oil fills the ocean 

Men jump off their boat disturbing everything in their way while creatures scatter to hide as fear falls into everything. I hear the cry's coming from the wind and the small critters. While all life falls from peace I hear them stepping onto the rocks/pebbles as they clang into each other. I quickly try to catch my breath i can see all the men charging up upon me.

Bang! Boom! I hear the reckless noise awakening everything the noise starts to get louder and louder then I couldn't hear anything.  everything starts to go blurry when I fly across the sand and onto a pile of stones  I feel a big vibration. I see a red river running upon the sand and into the ocean,grey smoke starts to fill the air as well as black ash falling onto me leaving me black I feel a big rage coming from the sun as it watches all the destruction feeling upset as men start fleeing from this big battle. 

As the sun falls asleep from the big day it had to discover water starts dripping from the sky putting out all the fires of anger and washing all the destruction away. all the people who had fought in this battle and taking there last breath. I listen to them saying there love to their loved ones as each one took there last and final breath. so love now and fight tomorrow. 

Life of the Desk

 I am an old hard flat surface with specks that are white,blue and grey. i have deep scratches carved on my surface and marks from felts and markers, bits of me are chipped.

I am sad because others look different from me and i feel insecure about because others do not have as much marks as me.

I was enjoying being left alone so i could recover from the other days of how exhausted i was. Being leaned on and drawn on, i do not want to be disturbed.

I am disrespected because people keep leaning all over me and i hate it be used for nothing more then paper i hat being drawn on so i do not want to be disturbed. 

When people lean on me i am nice and stable so they do not muck up their work i can feel the pressure from the hard work of their writing

week 3 reflection

I enjoyed doing cross country with my friends because it was funny as we ran in our be feet i loved seeing the other kids participating with this and watching everyone enjoying it.

 I had succeeded in my times tables i got higher scores and started to get more familiar with some of the times tables and i tried my best with it.

I have learned even more about number sequences and rules that you need to include to get the answers and to figure out the pattern in the numbers.

I am looking forward to  learning how to sketch in  tech class with miss green and using the lazar to make design on a box that we have to create.

I was being truthful to myself in the x country run and said to myself that i was going to finish this race and i pushed myself.                                                                                   

week 2 reflection

i enjoyed learning how to play Rip pa Rugby  and being able to use team work and communicate with each other through out passing the ball.

i had succeed in  my creative writing with how descriptive the words were and creating the title page with big bold words.

i found behaving challenging because i don't think before doing something stupid or dumb  and staying positive.

i have learned about the different bones in human body did you know compared to a  human brain we have four sections in our brain and a dog has 3 sections.

i am looking forward to finishing my illustrated book  it called the discovered noise were there is a little girl who goes into the dark forest and...

i have showed Pono by  speaking the truth to my friends and family.

I enjoyed writing about my holidays in descriptive words and doing our punctuation.

I succeed in imaginative prayer with learning about god and different ways to pray with god and yourself.

I found it challenging to understand number sequence but then my teacher explained more and then i enjoyed it witch made it fun to do.

I have learned about pattern number sequence and rule in maths i really enjoyed understanding more about it and i am very proud of what i did 

i am looking forward to more x country training pushing myself to my limit and challenging my mind.

Summary of scrpture

for our re we have been learning a lot about imaginative prayer with means different way you could pray. we have been tasked to do a scripture and create DLO and then come up with a summary her is what i came up with.

term reflection

The biggest challenge for me was having to get along with people that annoyed me on the first term and half of the second term. And I also found it hard to concentrate sometimes because I would have been distracted with talking to people or yelling in class. and acting silly with my friends in front of everyone which made me a distraction to everyone.

Something I have improved on is settling well into a catholic school even when i'm not catholic. And from coming from a very UN calmed school and having to snap out of my habits. From my old school and being able to have the opportunity to become a role model in this school.

the highlight of this term is becoming a better house deputy in school and being able to set up games. And seeing everyone enjoying the game we set up and reffed, I had a lot of fun running the games. Each house group got to chose what game they wanted to run for the juniors and seniors.

something I have learned this term is how to do angles, for me before we learned about angles I thought it was going to be very hard so I wasn't going to try. But when our teacher explained it and showed us how to work out the answers. I became more interested in the learning and if we still didn't understand we could
go into a group and she would explain it more.

I am looking forward to the holidays because i get to spend more time with my family and I will be able to help them out more. And having to have a big clean up day also cant wait to see my grandma. In Hamilton and my older sister who live down in Hamilton my favourite part of the holidays is sleep ins and Netflix.

a highlight of mine this week is was when i tried to smash out most of my work this week .

my success for this week is that we were not  arguing or bickering as much as usual with each other.

my challenge for me this week is algebra worksheet it was hard to get my head around but i still gave it a try.

Mythical creature

this is my grey and white fox it is a mythical creature that can touch stuff and turn it black and grey. sucking the colour out of it it feeds on sadness it is an immortal animal. and it changes where it lives every month so it cant be found from humans it is the last of its kind though i thought.

Procedural writing

For literacy  we had an assignment we have learned about procedural writing. procedural writing is when it involving a sequence of technical details or instructions. like in board game if  you don't  know how to play there are instructions on how to play .

we have to choose a topic and make a procedural writing about it and make a film of your topic and give specific instructions on what to put in, how much ,how long, and all that

 this is about the treaty getting sighed and i choose tamati waka nene to do my research on i really like researching about stuff i enjoyed doing this slide he was involved in getting the treaty sighed

my perspective part of the rabbit fence

 This is my version of the rabbit hole fence

I was sitting down quietly with my siblings when suddenly a zooming car came rushing towards us my mum screamed and told us to run as my mum screamed and told us to run as fast as a cheater i could feel the heat rush down me as my feet started burning. The car stopped as a white man jumped out with an orange beard and stared into my eyes they were empty i ran back as fast as i could, i felt his warm breath going against me, i could hear cracking every step he took,m my heart was beating out of my chest. i ran to my mum she gripped on to me tightly i heard my mum screaming her lungs out he grabbed my little sister and put her in the car she was crying while banging on the window. he came back for my other sister, her hands were to slippery to grip onto he put her in his car my mum wrapped her arms around me so tight i felt like i couldn't breath as he started pulling, her grip became lose she looked at me i could see the hurt in her eyes while i slipped away i kicked with all my power but i struggled.

As he put me in his car he said in a deep voice ''SHUT YOUR MOUTH OR I WILL THROW YOUR MUM IN JAIL.''i took a deep breath and tried to calm down. i sat there and looked out the dirty window. i saw my mum crying i could feel all the emotion in her eyes. we drove off and i could hear the rocks banging against the car. the sun fell from the sky, it was pitch black with all the little speaks  of white in the sky, my eyes slowly closed, started dozing of and fell to a deep sleep. 

Bang i woke up and found me and my sisters in a cage. i felt like a caged animal i looked up and saw a man walking past he gazed at me i quickly looked down. so did my sisters when i looked up he vanished  from my sight. we got moved to the back of the truck i cuddled my blanket tightly it was freezing cold. the breeze blew on my face we stopped a lady said '' hi'' i secretly thought she looked funny with what she was wearing. she said to follow me we stumbled a bit i did int know who she was but she lead us to an old cottage we got up the stairs opened the door it creaked loudly we got to our beds and cuddled up.

'' WAKE UP '' i opened my eyes with a fright she yelled and said make your bed but i hesitated and mumbled under my breath '' i wish i wasn't here '' i could see her death staring me in the corner of my eye i looked down straightening the bedding.,She yelled at a girl and said '' TAKE THE BUCKET OUT '' we all got up and gently lined up we got led to a big white house we went in and sat down by the tables. there were Gray treys everywhere and a spoon a lady was going around and handing out thick white stuff i put my finger in the white gooey thing and licked it ''YUCK''. it all went quiet a brown man came storming against me with a big brown ruler and smacked it onto the metal table and said ''EAT IT'' i look at him i was horrified. 

I was getting scrubbed very hard all the dirty my feet weren't so clean though '' does that feel better '' yes miss i said respectfully. she put a big whit dress over my head and i slipped my arms through and some black socks and white shoes. My sisters also got changed into cleaner clothes.
